Metro Consulting Associates (MCA) is performing ecological consulting, land surveying, and civil engineering services for a 100MW, four-hour utility-scale battery energy storage system (BESS) facility in Saline Township.
Our land surveying team performed ALTA/NSPS Land Title and topographic surveys, and legal easement exhibits on the project’s 54-acre site. The ecological team completed a wetland delineation, threatened and endangered species reviews, and permitting. MCA also managed subconsultants for archaeological, historical, and cultural resource surveys, Phase 1 Environmental Site Assessment (ESA), geotechnical investigations, and well drilling.
Throughout the project, the civil engineering team has provided concept planning, site planning, permitting support, landscape architecture, construction drawings, and Engineer of Record construction phase services while coordinating with agencies, contractors, and subconsultants.
As the project has progressed, the scope has expanded beyond the original BESS development to include a public safety training facility, requiring our team to adapt to evolving project needs and provide a broader range of services to help keep the project moving forward. We anticipate that this project will be completed by March 2027.
