Subsurface investigation technician scanning ground with GPR.

Detroit Golf Club Subsurface Utility Investigation

Metro Consulting Associates (MCA) utilized our Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) and GPS technology to locate subsurface steel piping controlling the water supply and precisely mark and map it. This enabled the contractor to evaluate and optimize trenching operations for the new pipe while upgrading the golf course’s water distribution and drainage systems.

MCA spent 12 days on-site closely, coordinating with the contractor to deliver adaptable, real-time field support, ensuring efficient construction operations, preventing utility damage, and minimizing delays. The mapped deliverables illustrated areas clear to trench and where the contractor needed to hand-dig to ensure safety and prevent site damage.
