Funded through the Michigan Department of Natural Resources (DNR) SPARK Grant and Consumers Energy Foundation, Metro Consulting Associates (MCA) supported the transformation of Rowan Park. MCA’s community-focused improvements turned this two-acre green space into a new recreational space featuring a splash pad, restroom facilities, landscaping, and ADA-compliant improvements.
MCA’s scope included grant writing, permitting, land surveying, civil design, construction inspection, and construction administration. The project presented a tight schedule and significant budgetary constraints, requiring our team to remain agile as the design and scope evolved.
MCA coordinated with the city, contractors, architects, and multiple design trades, including electric and plubming, to accomodate changes while ensuring the systems worked together with the new splash pad.
The project was completed in July 2026, meeting funding requirements.
