Manhole Scanning

Mapping underground infrastructure with unmatched clarity.

At Metro Consulting Associates (MCA), our asset management and manhole scanning solutions surpass traditional inspection methods, enabling utilities and municipalities to collect and organize subsurface infrastructure data for more informed, smarter decisions.

Using advanced remote-sensing technology, we visualize and then digitize conditions within stormwater, sanitary, and sewer system infrastructure, including the connections between underground infrastructure elements.

The result is data-rich snapshots with deep insights, robust analysis, and specifications to industry standards. Eliminating confined-space entry while minimizing surface impact, our team expertly scans manholes, reducing project time and exposure within the right-of-way.

Once collected, these digital records become a historical archive within the client’s Geographic Information System (GIS), supporting long-term planning, maintenance prioritization, and lifecycle management of critical community assets.
