Metro Consulting Associates (MCA) is currently working on a three-year manhole scanning project for the Detroit Water and Sewerage Department (DWSD). This project requires inspection, rehabilitation, and replacement of 2,500 sanitary sewers within the City of Detroit. The scope of work encompasses various aspects of sewer system maintenance and improvement. Specifically, the project includes sewer inspection, sewer cleaning, manhole inspection, and sewer repairs.
Leveraging the IBAK Panoramo SI manhole scanner and real-time kinematic (RTK)-compatible GPS equipment, the field team is collecting extensive subsurface data. MCA is utilizing SewerAI’s Pioneer platform to deliver MACP Level 2 assessments. This standardized platform, combined with MCA’s MACP-certified staff, enhances the quality and consistency of MACP deliverables, providing valuable insights into the condition of the manhole infrastructure.
