Project Summary
Our survey team helped refine the proposed route along the chosen 50-mile corridor that connects refining, processing, and blending facilities. In addition to the corridor work, our survey crew provided support services for the East Sparta Station and Canton Refinery.
Metro Consulting Associates established a GPS control network to maintain accurate route controls for boundary and topographic surveys, pipeline routing, and pipeline layout. Additional support services included parcel mapping, underground utility location, right-of-way land acquisition exhibits, construction staking, and construction as-built surveys.
Our ecological team completed post-construction monitoring on 24 wetlands and 2 streams within the pipeline corridor to determine whether restoration was achieved following construction. Metro Consulting Associates represented the pipeline company during onsite inspections with the Ohio EPA and negotiated on findings which resulted in our client being released from future monitoring efforts.
