Meets the Interns: Summer 2026

Metro Consulting Associates (MCA) is excited to welcome four interns to the team for a summer of professional development, technical skill growth, and on site experiences.

Jaden Graham

Field Technician, Municipal

After interning with us last summer, Jaden has continued with MCA in a co-op Field Technician position, gaining hands-on experience while pursuing his bachelor of science in construction management at Wayne State University.

Jaden’s passion for the construction industry stems from visits to the houses his dad was working on. Looking forward to another summer with MCA, Jaden is excited to further develop his hands-on skills, gain experience in proposals and bidding, and continue building his network in the industry.

When asked what makes Jaden want to stay at MCA, his response was, “The culture here at MCA is what makes me come back. The people here motivate me to want to be the best at what I do.”

Yusef Muhammad

Field Technician Intern, Municipal

Returning to MCA for his third summer, Yusef continues to gain hands-on experiences while attending Michigan State University, where he is pursuing a degree in urban and regional planning. With career aspirations to become a development project manager, Yusef is drawn to this field for the opportunity to be involved in the entire construction process, from planning and design to implementation. He has always admired building and architecture, and found a passion for helping bring projects from concept to reality.

This summer, Yusef is especially excited to further expand his hands-on experiences. As he continues his urban and regional planning studies, Yusef is eager to be part of the full process and learn how teams, utilities, and permits all come together.

When asked what brings him back to MCA for the third year, Yusef shared, “The opportunity to take on new responsibilities and contribute more as I gain experience makes me come back each summer. I also value the relationships I’ve built during my time here.”

Hunter Earl

Survey Field Technician Intern, Land Survey

Hunter is joining MCA this summer as a Survey Field Technician Intern before attending Spoon River College in Canton, Illinois, this fall. He has enjoyed working on different project sites each day and gaining practical knowledge that supports project success.

This summer, Hunter is looking forward to diving deep into the world of land surveying, gaining real-world experience, and seeing firsthand how surveying shapes the world around us.

Carter Melonio

CMT Technician Intern, Construction Materials Testing

Returning to MCA this summer as a CMT Technician Intern, Carter continues to gain valuable field experience while pursuing his degree in math at Alma College. Carter enjoys applying the math and science that goes into materials testing, helping deliver critical data for projects.

This summer, he’s looking forward to working on new projects and hopes to learn more about the laboratory’s capabilities in materials testing.

When asked why he chose to return for a second summer with MCA, Carter shared, “I like the team I work with. Everyone’s very helpful, and we have a fun environment while working.”

We’re excited to have our four interns on board for this summer. Stay tuned to follow along with their projects, growth, and successes over the next few weeks.
