Project Summary
Using Cityworks, Metro Consulting Associates (MCA) optimized the City of Sterling Heights’ hydrant inspection program and improved overall asset management operations. This includes streamlining documentation and tracking inspection forms, work orders, and service requests.
Our team provided customized, user-friendly service request and work order layouts for custom group users by organizing fields in a collapsed group view or hiding fields that were not relevant to the custom User Group.
MCA also created a hydrant inspection form to record observations, including painting conditions, operational status, and pressure testing. This provided GIS-centric asset management and streamlined the workflow for follow-ups with repair or replacement work orders.
Establishing this program enhanced operational efficiency, structured workflow within Cityworks, and improved asset management for the City of Sterling Heights.
