Project Summary
Metro Consulting Associates (MCA) provided field and laboratory materials testing, including concrete and density testing, and special inspections to evaluate bearing soils and reinforcing steel on the energy plant’s foundation and structural elements.
Our highly experienced construction materials testing (CMT) laboratory technician performed multiple modified proctors on imported class II sand and 21AA limestone to determine the maximum density of the soil type in relation to its optimum moisture content. Additionally, the team evaluated bearing soils and reinforcing steel and completed the drilled pier for deep foundations.
Since multiple stakeholders needed regular updates on inspection and testing with fast turnaround, our team utilized Metafield to quickly and efficiently distribute reports. This ensured the CMT portion of the project maintained progress and allowed other stakeholders to proceed as scheduled.
