Battery Energy Storage System Development

Metro Consulting Associates (MCA) is providing civil engineering, land survey, and ecological services for a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) development in Coldwater Township, Michigan. Our team’s full scope includes an ALTA/NSPS survey, a civil site plan, ecological assessments, permitting, civil construction drawings, construction permits, stormwater erosion and sedimentation control, and an as-built survey and drawings. This 100 MW BESS development can push energy to the grid for four hours.

The site’s asphalt was recently laid with final site restoration and comissioning activities ongoing. We anticipate the development to be completed sometime late Summer 2025.
