Water Treatment Plant Construction

Metro Consulting Associates (MCA) is performing Construction Materials Testing (CMT) and construction inspections throughout the development of the new water treatment facility in Mason, Michigan. Throughout this project, our CMT team has provided various materials testing, Quality Assurance, and Quality Control (QA/QC) practices to ensure the project meets design specifications.

MCA performed steel reinforcement evaluations, soil bearing evaluations, compaction testing, concrete field testing, masonry inspections, and laboratory testing for grout cubes and prisms. Additionally, our team performed cast-in-place cellular concrete testing – a unique design element incorporated to provide stability and prevent pressure damage for the facility’s retaining wall.

With the bulk of our work completed at the end of 2025, our team continues to support CMT services throughout the final phase of construction, with an anticipated completion date of July 2026.
