Right of Way Acquisition Project Manager Gail Morton 2022 Recipient of Graham Woodhouse Award

Presented by the Southwest Michigan Planning Commission for contributions to the Dowagiac River Restoration Project in Niles, Michigan

Metro Consulting Associates (MCA), a multifaceted energy, land, and community development firm, announced that Right of Way (ROW) Project Manager Gail Morton is a 2022 recipient of the Graham Woodhouse Intergovernmental Effort Award for her contributions to the Dowagiac River Restoration Project, also referred to as the Pucker Street Dam Project, located in Niles, Michigan.

The Southwest Michigan Planning Commission (SWMPC) presented the award to all members of the project team at its Commission meeting held on December 21, 2021. Additional project partners and award recipients include:

As an integral project partner, Morton secured over 40 temporary construction easements from landowners upstream of the Pucker Street Dam to facilitate the river’s restoration.
